Town of Arts, pampered by nature, Menton offers open routes on the trails of the great names of the world’s culture.
Guided tours led by a guide along the streets of the old town (medieval and baroque), and gardens are organised regularly by the "Service du Patrimoine" (Heritage Service) for individuals and on request for groups.
Menton, one of the 120 “Cities of Art and History” [1] of France, is primarily a town of ambiance. The old town, the historical centre, offers its shaded narrow streets. The basilica of Saint-Michel, with its bell-tower, is one of the most beautiful baroque spots of the area together with the place de la Conception.
From the "Basilique Saint-Michel" to the Jean Cocteau museum, including the marvels of the seven exceptional gardens, Menton offers seven centuries of history concentrated within 1,500 hectares.
